Pastor

Pastor Tim is a native Kentuckian who moved to Texas in the mid 80’s. He and his wife Leslie served together in the Child Care Ministry most of their married life working with “at-risk” teens and their families. They moved to Brenham, Texas in the spring of ’98 where he served as the Administrator at Miracle Farm for Boys. In 2003, Tim began his Master’s of Marriage and Family Counseling at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Upon completion he felt led to start Champion Fellowship Church here in Brenham, in the spring of 2006. Pastor Tim also has a BBS in Communications from Hardin-Simmons University. He and Leslie have two kids, Garrett and Hadley.

Music Minister

Jason Morgan grew up in the Texas panhandle in the town of Plainview. He received his undergrad degree from Wayland Baptist University of Plainview. While attending Wayland, Jason led worship at First Baptist Church in Halfway, a small town nearby. He also met and fell in love with Kimberly, and the two were married the summer after graduation. Jason and Kim found jobs in Fort Worth, TX, and moved, expecting to spend several years there; but God had different things in store! In the summer of 2006, God made it clear to the Morgans that they were to move to Brenham and participate in the starting of Champion Fellowship Church. Now with Brenham as their home of three years and counting, God has blessed them with a wonderful community and fellowship of believers. Their faith is in Jesus Christ as they continue to hope in Him and pray for an awakening in Brenham. May He receive all glory, honor, and worship because He has done great things for His people!

Children's Ministry Director

Debbie Forland and her husband, Dean, first moved to Brenham in October of 1998 to be Houseparents at Miracle Farm, a residential boys ranch for at-risk teens. They have three boys: Kale, Brett and Jake. It was in July of 2008 that Debbie heard God’s specific call for her to be the Children’s Ministry Director at Champion Fellowship. She is both thrilled and humbled to be a part of this growing body of believers in Washington County. Her passion is for children to know that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. She also has a heartfelt desire to equip parents in their God-given role. Champion Kids Mission statement is “Partnering with parents to teach kids to Love God Extravagantly, Learn His Word Creatively and Light Their Worlds Boldly for Jesus Christ.”
